1) Meeting Tuesday - Campout Prep:  Scouts will be working on meals and duty roster for this weekend.  Scouts will also be selecting their classes for summer camp.  Please make sure all scouts are present.  If you haven't paid your $50 summer camp deposit, please be bring it.                                                                                                                                 2) Fishing & Archery Campout: March 16-18 at Pecan Plantation in Grandbury TX (35 miles SW of Ft. Worth).  We will meet Friday in the chuch parking lot at 5pm to load up vehicles.  We plan to return Sunday around 11am.                                                                                                                                                                                                                           Please check the calendar for upcoming events.

1) Meeting Tuesday - Emergency Preparedness Merit Badge (eagle required): City of Dallas' Office of Emergency Management will come out and do a 90-minute presentation on disaster preparedness to help our scouts with the E-Prep MB.  All scouts need to be here.  The presentation begins at 7:00pm SHARP.  Please arrive by 6:50.  Other scouts from 2 other troops will be joining us so let's show them great hospitality.                                                                                             2) Fishing & Archery Campout: March 16-18 at Pecan Plantation in Grandbury TX (35 miles SW of Ft. Worth).  Details to be shared at the next few meetings.                                                                                                                                     3) Merit Badge University:  Saturday, March 24 at the Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center (5550 FM 2495 Athens TX) from 8:30am-5pm.  22 merit badges offered in 2 sessions (3 hour morning & 3 hour afternoon).  Cost is $20/scout which includes lunch & patch.  For more info, go to http://circleten.org/fins-feathers-and-conservation-merit-badge-university-and-trail-first-class-day.                                                                                                                                                                    4) SUMMER CAMP: June 24 - 30 at Camp Trevor Rees-Jones in Athens TX.  $50 deposit is due by March 6th.  The boys will also be selecting their classes at this meeting.  Please make sure all scouts are present.                                                                                                                Please check the calendar for upcoming events.

Troop Meeting Tonight

Members of the Order of the Arrow will be present tonight to give us a short camp promotions presentation.  Afterward, we will be working on the Emergency Preparedness merit badge and the Fishing merit badge if time permits.  Please be on time and dressed in uniform.

1) Today, Sunday - Troop Court of Honor is this Sunday from 4:00 (room set up) - 7:00 pm (clean up) in the Parlor of the church.  Chili contest dinner will start at 5:00 pm.                                                                                                                       2) Tuesday - Scouts will be working on advancement requirements.  Bring your handbooks and merit badge worksheets. See you all at the meeting.                                                                                                                                                      3) Saturday - This Saturday is Scouting for Food day 2.  We will collecting food donations from last Saturday's bag distribution.  We will meet at 10:00 am in the big parking lot across the street from the church.  Scouts need to be in uniform shirt (wear weather appropriate clothing) and bring a full water bottle.  We need a lot of drivers too (approximately 2 scouts per car).  Bring your family and friends.  This is a community service project and a great opportunity for anyone needing service hours.

1) Tuesday - At the troop meeting we will be preparing over 1000 bags for our food drive this Saturday.  This big task is a family event and we need a lot of help.  Please come out to help and get details for this weekend's events.  See you all at the meeting.                                                                                                                                                                                  2) Saturday - This Saturday is Scouting for Food.  We will be distributing the bags from Tuesday's meeting throughout the Little Forest Hills neighborhood.  We will meet at 9:00 am in the big parking lot across the street from the church.  Scouts need to be in uniform shirt (wear weather appropriate clothing) and bring a full water bottle.  We need a lot of drivers too (approximately 2 scouts per car).  Bring your family and friends.  This is a community service project and a great opportunity for anyone needing service hours.                                                                                                             3) Sunday - Your whole family is invited to our Troop Court of Honor is this Sunday from 4:00 - 7:00 pm in the Parlor of the church.  Please arrive at 4:00 to help with the room set up.  Pot luck dinner will start at 5:00 pm.  Our pot luck meal will be a Chili Cook-off.  All scouts (with parental assistance) are asked to make a pot of chili and/or a cobbler or other dessert for the contest.  This will count towards each Scout's cooking requirements and the winning chili & dessert will be the one we enter in the Spring Camporee Cook-off.
